His research focuses primarily on social uses and consequences, which has meant studying things like media and gender roles, romantic relationships, and what it means to be a fan of a work of fiction like Star Trek, the Lord of the Rings, or Harry Potter. Finally, Dr. Taylor's research is also tied up with questions of mental and physical health and well-being.
